The Heracles 12 STD Fork is one of the few made of 4130 chromoly steel. Ethic decided to use this material because they wanted it to be practically indestructible. However, Ethic knows that most steel forks have failed due to their heavier weight, so they've implemented manufacturing processes such as heat treating, butted, and fluted tubing. These processes allow the Heracles to rival aluminum in terms of weight but are far superior in strength.

For those unfamiliar, 12 STD refers the bearing/axle size and is larger than the industry standard. The Heracles is compatible with 8 STD (the industry standard) thanks to the INCLUDED conversion spacers. This means that the Heracles is the best option for riders who are constantly breaking parts and needing something reliable.
