The Vault Pro Scooters Scooter Assembly

scooter-assemblyYour new scooter will typically arrive 90% assembled. The Vault Pro Scooters recommends having your scooter assembled by a professional scooter tech however you may complete your own assembly with minimal tools in approximately 10 minutes.

Follow these step-by-step instructions carefully to ensure proper assembly.

Tools

Things you'll need...

Tools you need are provided by the manufacture. Tools required vary between manufacturers.

  1. Hex keys sizes 5 and 6
  2. Scissors (To open the box)
  3. 13mm wrench

Getting Started...

After opening the scooter box, your scooter should look similar to the above photo. Please be aware that packaging varies from each manufacturer.

Step 1: Remove all items from box. Unwrap all contents in the box.

Putting it together...

Step 2:  Attach the front wheel

Step 3: Push the axle through the fork and wheel.

Step 4: Use your hex key and/or wrench to completely tighten the front wheel on the fork. *Remember, righty tighty, lefty loosey :)

Step 5: Slide the back wheel through the dropout, same way as you did with the front wheel.

Step 6: Slide the back axle through the dropout and wheel, like done in step 2.

Step 7: Fit the nut straight over the tip of the bolt. Begin finger tightening over the threads by turning the nut clockwise. Ensure that the nut is on straight or you may strip the bolt's threads.

Step 8: Tighten the bolt onto the nut. Apply firm and even pressure to the wrench handle as the nut gets tighter to ensure a snug fit.

Step 9: Slide your bars into the SCS clamp. Make sure the handlebars are straight and lined up with the front wheel to avoid danger while riding.

Step 10: Tighten your SCS clamp by starting with the bottom bolt and moving your way upward. Tighten all the bolts evenly to ensure the clamp is drawn together uniformly.
