The Vault, owners of the Website https://www.thevaultproscooters.com/ (hereinafter “Site”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our user’s personal information.  The terms “we”, “us”, “our”, and “The Vault” refer to The Vault Pro Scooters, a company of the state of California.

 

This Privacy Policy describes the information The Vault collects when users of the Site sign up for, use, access or otherwise interact with any of The Vault’s applications, products, services, or websites (collectively, “Services”), how we use and share that information, and the choices we offer.

 

When you use our Services, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of information about you as described in this Privacy Policy.

 

This Policy applies to all information we collect through our Services including: Collection and Use of Your Information; Sharing Your Information; Communications From The Vault, The Security of Your Information; A Note About International Users; A Special Note About the Privacy of Minors; and Changes to Our Privacy Policy.

 

Please remember that this Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we don’t own or control or to people that we don’t employ or manage, including third-party websites or services. It is your responsibility to review the privacy policy of a third-party site. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information that The Vault collects about you as a user of our Services. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms of The Vault’s Terms of Use.  Each time you use our Services, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Terms of Use, which incorporate this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you must discontinue using the services on our Site and terminate your account.

 

We may change this policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to this policy, we will notify you by posting the updated policy, revising the "Last Updated" date above. We encourage you to review the Policy whenever you use our Services to stay informed about our information practices and about the choices available to you.

 

Our Commitment. The Vault is obligated to protect your personal information by making reasonable security arrangements to protect against risks such as unauthorized access, use, collection, disclosure or disposal. Security measures have been integrated into the design, implementation, and day-to-day operating practices as part of our commitment to protect the personal information the Site holds.

 

A Special Note About COPPA and the Privacy of Minors.  In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and fair information practices, we will not knowingly collect, online or offline, personal information children under the age of thirteen (13). We collect, use and disclose information about minors aged thirteen (13) to seventeen (17) in the same manner as we do for adults. The Vault encourages that any child under the age of eighteen (18) receive parental or guardian consent to use the Site, however, any child under the age of thirteen (13) must receive verifiable parental or guardian consent to disclose information to the Site.

    Direct Notice to Children. The Vault would like to tell you a few things before you give us your name, e-mail address, and any other information in order to create an account with The Vault. If you are under 13, we must get one of your parents or guardians to agree to your giving us your e-mail address and other personal information.

 

Direct Notice to Parents. It is The Vault’s intention to adhere to the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act (“COPPA”). This notice describes our practices of collecting, using, and disclosing personal information from children under 13. Our policies are described directly below under this section. How Your Child Will Use The Vault’s Services

 

Children seventeen (17) years or younger may create an account on the Site by providing a username, email, and password. Additional personal information that may be collected upon purchase of a product from our Site may include: mailing address, phone number, credit card number, and financial information. Without creating an account, children can browse the E-commerce site which sells complete pro scooters, scooter parts, safety equipment, and accessories. Children may also have access to Communication Services, as defined and referred to section 1.4 of the Terms of Use.

 

Parental Consent Required

 

As stated directly above, The Vault may collect personal information from your child, but we need your consent before we collect, use, or disclose the information. We will not collect this information until we have received your consent. You will find instructions on how to give your consent below.

 

Personal Information We Collect From Your Child


The Vault collects limited personal information. Generally, we collect only online contact information, including your child's name, username, and e-mail address. Depending upon the activities your child chooses to engage in on The Vault, your child may be asked to provide other personal information.

 

We have worked to adopt this Privacy Policy so children can participate in our Services without giving out unnecessary personal information. We do not require a user to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to utilize The Vault Site.

We also allow a parent to review his or her child's personal information, ask to have it deleted, and refuse to allow any further collection or use of his or her child's information. (See below for further instructions.)


    Non-Personal Information We Collect From Your Child


We may also collect what is known as non-personally identifiable information. For example, we may collect certain non-personally identifiable information when you visit many of our Site pages such as the IP address, type of browser you are using, the type of operating system you are using, and the domain name of your Internet service provider.

We May Collect Additional Information in the Future

We use non-personal information for internal purposes, such as maintaining, evaluating, and improving our services and Web site.


You consent to our using your child's email address to send your child Service-related notices, including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail. Your child may not opt out of Service-related emails.

We may also use your child's email address to send your child other messages, such as newsletters, changes to features of the Service, or special offers. If your child does not want to receive such email messages, your child may opt out by sending an email message to admin@thevaultproscooters.com.

    
The Vault may use certain information about your child without identifying your child as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as analyzing how the Service is used, diagnosing service or technical problems, maintaining security, and personalizing your experience.

 

 

 

Disclosure of the Information


The Vault will not disclose your child's personal information to any third party without your express prior authorization. After The Vault collects users' login names and passwords through cookies, we also may use this information in the aggregate to analyze site usage, as well as to offer products, programs, or services. If we change the way we collect, use or disclosure your child's personal information we will send you a new notice and request for another consent. For example, if in the future we want to disclose the child's information to third parties we will provide you with a new notice and ask for your consent before we disclose any personal information to third parties.

 

Revoking and Deleting Your Consent


At any time, you may revoke your consent, refuse to allow us to further use or collect your child's personal information, and direct us to delete the information. If you choose to delete your child's information, we will not use it for any purpose except where required by applicable laws, regulations, or standards.


A Special Note About Mobile Privacy. We may offer you the ability for you to connect with our Services, using a mobile device, either through a mobile application or via a mobile optimized website. The provisions of this Privacy Policy apply to all such mobile access and use of mobile devices. This Privacy Policy will be referenced by all such mobile applications or mobile optimized websites.

 

1.    What Information Do We Collect, and How?

 

We may store the information you provide us through The Vault, as well as information we collect in connection with your use of our Services. For example, if you purchase a product sold through our online store, we may collect your name, mailing address, telephone number, credit card number, and email address. If you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and other information that we request in the registration process.

  • If you communicate with us regarding our Web site or our services, we will collect any information that you provide to us in any such communication. We use the information to fulfill your requests, provide The Vault’s functionality, improve the quality of our Services, personalize your experience, track usage of our Services, provide customer support, enhance the security of our Services, and comply with legal obligations.

When you sign up for an account, you are opting in to receive emails from other The Vault itself. Please note that while you may adjust some email preferences and The Vault messaging features, you cannot opt out of receiving certain administrative or legal notices from The Vault.

Affiliates and Business Transitions.  The Vault may share Your Information with its affiliates that are subject to privacy policies that protect your personally identifiable information from disclosure to third parties in a manner similar to this Privacy Policy.  In the event that The Vault goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, liquidation or sale of all or a portion of its assets, user’s personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Users may be notified of any such business transition via e-mail and/or prominent notice on the Site.
